New Orleans Squirrel Removal

Although I wrote everything I know about squirrel issues for this website, oftentimes a problem with squirrels in the attic is beyond the scope of the do-it-yourself homeowner to solve. I have found a professional company in New Orleans, Louisiana that handles problems with wildlife. Urban Jungle Wildlife Removal, LLC has access to tools, techniques, and experience that help them do a far better job at wildlife removal than a non-experienced homeowner could. They possess licensing that allows them to do certain types of work legally, that non-licensed homeowners in the state of Louisiana are not allowed to do. For the welfare of your situation, and the squirrels, in some cases it's best to hire a pro.

Well I came across your website in a search for squirrel bait. Found out I am not only using the wrong bait, but have the trap in the attic. Not really even sure if it's a squirrel, but that is my best bet as there is nothing but cable wires that go onto the roof, cant see a coon being able to go across those. Ok so this may end up being just one of many questions I may end up asking you, but is there any certain time of year that a squirrel gives birth? Also, where might one get a small roof trap as seen in your pictures? I placed a ad on craigs list to see if I could borrow a trap from someone and the one I got is larger then that. My fear is that it won't be able to set the pan off to shut the door. Do you think that if I also set a rat glue sheet in there it might cause it to struggle enough to set if off? Not even sure how it got in the attic, what all should I look for when I get on the roof? I am on disability so am very limited to what I can do here but any advice would be great. Thank you for a asap type of reply here, this thing is driving me nuts. PS. Also are they more active in the night then the day? Stacy

My response: Squirrels are most active in morning and evening during daylight hours. Peanut butter and whole peanuts are good bait. Set the trap on the roof near the entry and exit hole. You've got to find out how they are getting in, remove them via trapping or exclusion, and seal the openings up afterward. Make sure the young are big enough to go outside, and into the traps. Have you considered hiring a professional wildlife company?

I found your website and saw that you recommend using exclusion doors for squirrels. I've been working with a wildlife company for about a week and after spending almost 500 dollars we still have squirrels (who I have seen exit the hole and walk right past the trap, which they set on the ground), so I am starting to look for other companies and options. I asked the company about using excluders and they said they would not because the squirrels would just chew a new hole into the porch ceiling. For reference, the squirrels are entering through a hole in the porch ceiling, which has a room on top of it, and getting into the floor of that second floor room. I am curious what your experience is with this.
