Colorado Springs Squirrel Situation: Hello, have read so much helpful information on your site and I wish you were here in Colorado Springs. Problem I am having is with something entering my soffit to attic and walls and floor boards. I hear it at morning sitting on my light fixture medallion and so much installation cannot hear walking or running, but I do here bumps and like creeking on wood beam in attick. Had a major problem with raccoons and rats/mice. Starting in 08 and today we have cut trees down added installation which was wrong' had roof repair from racoon teeth marks eating through vents and rat droppings on roof. We had a forest of animals breaking into our home funny thing I hired 6 companies and several handy men and not. One knew how to catch what was there or put a camera up there to see. Had a friend to catch 5 raccoons 5 possoms 3 skunks 2 bunnies, 3 Squirrels and to date no one can find the hole to seal it....they would find one and lock it in to die and it break out from another end.....still do not know what it is...who seals a hole up in the evening. Anyhow these so called professionals k ow nothing about repairing any gaps hole from animals.....do you know any people in Colorado Springs area that know and have done animal repair work and guarantee it. Had one guu to put acrylic sealing on side of my roof and the animal just pealed it of and went on inm..I have spent over 10 thbousand dollars in the last 3 yhears fighting animals. I have given out but not up....ran out of cash so we had to just live with it also since have not found anyone to help...Angela

Hi David, I asked the Maintenance crew from my homeowners association to take care of some squirrels that were living in the soffits surrounding my sunroom. They sealed the soffits, but accidentally left one squirrel in there. Since I have not heard the squirrel for a few weeks, the maintenance crew claims he or she escaped through some small opening. I asked them if it was a good idea to remove all of the soffits and clean the framework in the soffits and surrounding the sunroom. I was concerned about feces and urine left by the squirrels. They said it was not necessary, but the sunroom now smells like feces. What should be done? Do I need to contact the health department to give my homeowners association more incentive. Like many people today, my budget is very limited. I would appreciate any good advice you can offer. All the Best, Marc
