Miami Squirrel Removal

Although I wrote everything I know about squirrel issues for this website, oftentimes a problem with squirrels in the attic is beyond the scope of the do-it-yourself homeowner to solve. We have a professional squirrel expert in Miami, Florida that handles problems with wildlife. We have the tools, techniques, and experience that help us do a far better job at wildlife removal than a non-experienced homeowner could. We possess licensing that allows us to do certain types of work legally, that non-licensed homeowners in the state of Florida are not allowed to do. For the welfare of your situation, and the squirrels, in some cases it's best to hire a pro.

Miami Squirrel Situation: Dave, You mention in your excellent squirrel article that the FTC issued a warning that high-pitch noise machines to evict squirrels in an attic are 100percent fraudulent. What about the the strobe light products, like "Squirrel Evictor"? It's tough to determine if the favorable reviews in Amazon and elsewhere are all ghost-written by the management team. Do you know first-hand if they have worked? Alex (Man with a squirrel problem)

Alex, I'm hesitant to comment on a specific brand, but I will say that I firmly believe that NO product that emits sound, light, or smell is effective at causing squirrels to leave an attic. They can just move to a new more peaceful part of the attic if they don't like the interference. But why bother with a product, when it's so easy to find the squirrel entry point, install a one-way exclusion door (20 bucks) and then seal the hole, for a PERMANENT solution? Unless you've got a really crappy building that can't be repaired practically. Another thing - squirrels usually move out after the young are weaned, so they're only there for 3 months. Then they move out for 3 months. Then they come back again for the 2nd litter of the year. You may install a device and they leave on their own eventually, and you credit the device. If your home/building is in decent shape, find the squirrel entry hole and seal it up after the squirrels are out. Most simple, most effective. If you can't do it, and need to hire a pro, at least a good pro will give you a permanent fix, so you don't have to bother with your fancy strobe light twice a year, every year from now on. David

Hi David, Thanks for creating your very informative and useful website. I've learned a lot from it, and it convinced me that I really need to get a professional to remove the female plus baby squirrels in my attic. Since I live in the Miami area, I called A Wildlife, as recommended at your site, but they did not recommend the sort of solutions I would have expected after reading your website. Their inspector, Ken, recommended using a "euthanizing" trap "shaped like a square, with entry points from both sides" that would catch and kill any squirrels that enter it, mounted on the attic's exit point. If the babies aren't yet mobile or ready to leave the attic, he'd send up a Jack Russel terrier at the end of the 5-day trapping period to get rid of them. Just thought you should know in case you're still curating this list and want to revisit this recommendation. Thanks
