New York City Squirrel Situation: David, thanks for your information. I am located in NYC and wish you lived nearby to help us. I have squirrels in the attic. I manage to trap two squirrels in havahart traps in the attic so it does work successfully. You mentioned in your article it does not, so you may want to revise that part. We blocked up what I thought were the entry points as you suggested. There is still one precious squirrel running around up there, so I will try and trap it. I scanned the whole perimeter of the attic looking for a nest. Do you think there could be babies this early in Jan.? I believe like you that they have a right to live. On your donation page is a link to WWF. Please be aware this is a group that disguises itself as humane, but as a reputation and history of not being compassionate and doing right by animals. Please don't be fooled by them. You can google more about WWF and how it promotes killing and hunting of sentient creatures. Please consider removing them from your site.
Hello. I am trying to contact a HUMANE rodent removal company and found some wildlife guys on-line. I called and left two messages last week regarding my issue but never heard back from anyone. I live in New York City on Wood Street and have a crawl space attic above the second floor apartment, which is being occupied by unwelcome guests. This isn't the first time. Over a decade ago there was an issue with squirrels but they were poisoned. I am fairly certain that it's squirrels up there again but I don't want anything to suffer. I just want them gone! They have already gnawed half way through a couple of wood beams, chewed my phone line and I saw some fecal matter up there. They are SO LOUD and I need them gone A.S.A.P.!!! I have two dogs and two "indoor only" cats and I need to keep them safe as I know rodents carry many diseases. There has never been any pest in my actual apartment but I am worried about the damage they are causing and the potential illness they could cause me and my pets. Could someone PLEASE call me, even if you are not interested in the job perhaps you could guide me in the right direction??? There does not seem to be many humane pest removal options, unless I want to do it myself, and that is NOT going to happen! I am way too scared and inexperienced.
