Richmond Squirrel Removal

Although I wrote everything I know about squirrel issues for this website, oftentimes a problem with squirrels in the attic is beyond the scope of the do-it-yourself homeowner to solve. We have a professional squirrel expert in Richmond, Virginia that handles problems with wildlife. We have the tools, techniques, and experience that help us do a far better job at wildlife removal than a non-experienced homeowner could. We possess licensing that allows us to do certain types of work legally, that non-licensed homeowners in the state of Virginia are not allowed to do. For the welfare of your situation, and the squirrels, in some cases it's best to hire a pro.

Richmond Squirrel Situation: We have had squirrels in our attic for almost a year now due to the roofers forgetting to put a piece of flashing on when they finished. First, we used a live trap with no success. After about two months of no success ( tried chocolate, peanut butter, nuts of various kinds, squirrel feed..) we put out snap traps. A few weeks went by and we had no results so (against my wishes) glue traps were set out - also with no success. We used wire mesh double layered to seal the exit/entry hole and they have successfully chewed right through. The live trap is back in place for now. We are moving in less than a month and plan to rent the house....but obviously need to get our unwelcome visitors out! Is there anything else we can try?? The only company I have found that claims they can take care of it wants almost five hundred dollars. I would rather not have to kill them, and am against poisons. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you, Megan

My response: Poisons don't work anyway. How could they chew through the wire mesh? You have to use steel wire mesh, so that they can't chew through. Set a one-way door or repeater trap on the exit hole, and you'll get them all out.

Hi, I wrote a song about squirrels - people who hear it seem to think it's pretty funny. It's about how cute they are, contrasted with how much damage they can do. All fun and harmless, nothing nasty. The song recording is done, I have a video with live performance, stock video of cute little squirrels running around and such....all I'm missing is a few quick photos of squirrel damage in roof and attic. Would you be willing to grant permission for me to use a couple of your photos in this free Youtube video? I can pay a small licensing fee if necessary, and/or provide on-screen credit to your group. I've already licensed some clips from a couple of indie video producers. My intention is to keep it all cruelty-free. I'm mostly trying to spread my band's music around, but anything else I could do to promote humane animal removal as I try to promote the Youtube would be a bonus, if you have any ideas please let me know. I have one photo of a one-way-door squirrel-exclusion device I bought (the squirrel troubles are based on my own true story!) If you want, I'd be glad to show you a pre-release demo, thanks
