South Bend Squirrel Situation: HI David, I live in Northern Indiana. I have squirrels in the void space of my roof. There is no access to this space. I have watched 3 adult squirrels exit the entrance hole, and through the very poor one way door I made from hardware cloth. They manage to work their way back in. Is it possible these are 3 males? If so, could their also be a female I did not see exit and thus a possibility of babies? If you feel strongly that there are babies, how much longer should I wait to put a much better one way door in place? Please advise as soon as you can. They are driving us nuts. Thank you.

My response: The squirrels you are seeing are a mother plus 3-4 young, which have already grown to adult size. There are no babies. We live in a one-story house and we are pretty sure that we have squirrels in the attic. You can access the attic through a pull-down door with stairs in the garage or through an opening in a bedroom closet. They are both on the same side of the house. We found a piece of soffit on the ground on the other side of the house so that may be where they are entering the attic space. I read a lot of the information on your website so I think I understand the process. Can you give me a general idea of the cost?

We live in an older established neighborhood with lots of trees and lots of squirrels. For the 3rd time in 2 years, we are having to replace the wiring harness in one of the vehicles due to squirrel damage.
